  The edge chambering machine is designed to flatten the edges and corners and cut off the defects. For the steel tubes with thick wall, the grooves will be cut for welding. Since the wall of steel tubes with small diameter is thin, the edge chambering machine used for such tubes is generally considered to be a butt machine. The equipment used for the steel tubes with larger diameter is generally considered to be a butt chambering machine. For sake of description, the above-mentioned equipment is hereafter called edge chambering machine.

1. The edge chambering machine is divided into single-station, double-station, single-end and multi-end edge chambering machines.
2. The diameter of tube to be chambered is 16 mm to 2540 mm.
3. Single-cutter, double-cutter or four-cutter cutting can be used. Each cutter can offer multiple edges. The floating cutting heads may be provided according to the actual needs.
4. Several types of power can be transmitted and automatic feed is used. The cutting speed is infinitely regulated.
5. PLC or IPC control is used. The processes can be carried out automatically or semi-automatically
